Stichting Fontys is a major university in the Netherlands offering Bachelor and Master degrees to 37,000 students and has over 4000 staff members.  The Fontys University of Allied Health Professions (FUAP), one of the 35 departments, is located in Eindhoven and comprises six allied health professional programmes.  Significant research resources include podiatry clinics, and a human motion analysis laboratory.  They have a formal research programme; the “Health Care and Technology for Quality of Life” Framework, comprising 4 research programmes in Health and Mobility, Medical Imaging, Ethics, and Speech, Language and Hearing Control, and closely collaborates with research in mechatronics and embedded systems.
